Week 6 Final Project
1. Please complete the written portion of your Personal Strategic Plan Note: If you have already completed and submitted the written portion, check the Blackboard submission area for Week 5 by Sunday evening to see if I have made any comments or recommended changes.
2. Create a 6-8 slide presentation representing your Vision and Goals graphically. You do not have write each of your goal statements on the slides. However, you may include a word or two on each slide representing your goal, like, Career, Family, etc.
3. Attach this Presentation to the Submission box in Blackboard. Also, copy and paste the written portion in the Submission box.
4. Please write a single page paper describing at least 3 new strategies you learned and are willing to or have already started to put into practice.
5. Leave a comment below about your experience completing the PSP. How did it make you feel? What did you learn about yourself? Even if you didn’t learn anything new about yourself, why would this be a good exercise for other students like yourself?
Chapters 9 & 10 Rehearsal and Reviewing Strategies
1. What is the difference between rehearsing and reviewing?
2. What are the 2 types of rehearsal strategies? What are the benefits of each of these strategies and which do you or would you prefer to use and why?
3. Respond to “What can Frank do?”
4. Describe the 5 basic reviewing strategies in your own words and tell me which one appeals to you the most.
5. Please submit all responses by pasting them in the Submission Box. You may also attach a copy for security purposes.

2. Begin work on the written plan immediately. If you have questions, please leave them in the comment box below so that we can all see and respond to them.
3. The second part of the PSP will be a brief PowerPoint or Keynote presentation visually representing your Vision and Goal statements. You may also use Google Presentation or any other online presentation tool to do this part of the assignment. However, at this point do not focus on this part of the assignment until you have completed the written portion.
Chapter 7. Note Taking
1. Read Chapter 7 on Note Taking.
2. Write a 1-page reflective paper addressing the following questions:
- What are the Characteristics of Good Notes?
- What are the factors that affect a students’ ability to take good notes?
- What are the guidelines for taking notes?
- How can you stay active during note taking?
- What are the myths of note taking?
3. As you are writing this paper try to share personal examples or preferences. For example, which of the factors, characteristics, myths, etc do you prefer, find true, or disagree with?
Chapter 8. Active Reading
1. Describe the 3 Annotation Pitfalls in your own words.
2. Which one or ones can you most identify with?
